Halloween 2008
Bela boo was a snow princess and she made some new friends trick or treating in the neighborhood. She did a great job. Zoki was a little Tiger and she had more fun looking at decorations. She had a blast too.

Zoe's Birthday
Zoe's birthday was held at Chuck-E-Cheese. Everyone had a great time except Papi who had Lyme Diease at the time - since cured. Bela became a Skee-Ball master, her favorite new game.

Zoe got a Birthday Card!
Little Zoe is so easily entertained. An envelope would have been enough for her as you can see. But when we opened the card and it played a message she thought it was so cool. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Family Camping Trip
For Mama's Birthday we all went camping for the night. We built a nice fire, slept in a tent, cooked Marshmallows, had cake and went swimming. Bela boo had a blast. She is great at collecting firewood. Zoe had a good time too, splashing in the lake.

Fisherman Bela
Bela loves fishing with Mama. They've got their own rods, Mama does the casting and Bela does the rest. She's a natural. These were taken at Tenney Park in Madison.

One day we broke out the old walking talking R2 unit. Everyone has one, I know. Zoe was amazed. She follows R2 around the house and talks to him. She's definitely a Zeman!

Bela - Jimmy Buffett Girl
Mama and Papi went to the Jimmy Buffett concert in July. Afterwards we showed Bela a video becasue she wanted to know what it was like. She disappeared into her playroom for a couple of minutes and then emerged looking like this!

Bela the Peacock
Bela went to the zoo and saw a peacockm then wanted to become one. SO we went to the store and got a bunch of feathers and here is her creation!

Our new Deck
We FINALLY got our new deck done. Here it is in all it's glory. 11x16x4. We love it and it's great for the girls too.

4th of July FIreworks
Here are some shots of the girls watching the fireworks. We found an easy-in easy-out location this year - Deforest, wi. They were pretty nice. Zoe was fascinated and bela boo was a little scared.

Zeman's Trip to Minneapolis
We went up to Minneapolis (barely squeezing thru the floods) for Papi's birthday / Father's day. We stayed at the Radisson next to the Mall of America and spent a ton of time at the mall, which was pretty awesome. We also went to the zoo and the science museum, which had a Star Wars exhibit (sweet!). The mall has a Nickelodeon themed amusement park with 32 rides, it was pretty impressive. Bela absolutely loved it as you will see in the photos and Videos! Bela's favorite ride was the Swiper Sweeper, she screamed at every turn! Be sure to check the video of that one! The wonder pets ride was pretty cool too.

Week of Firsts
Zoe got her first tooth this week. It' a cute little nubber!
Tongiht, Zoe learned to crawl! Bela was a big help, calling her over and cheering when she made it across the room. Babyproofing begins again as we speak.
Zoe also has a cute new giggle. We've got a couple videos below.
This weekend we are going to Minneapolis. Bela is SO excited. We've got mall of america, Nickelodeon fun park, water park, hotel, star wars museum, and the zoo all on the agenda. Should be fun!

Spring Babies
Zoe is amazed that it is not always 10 degrees outside. She doesn't know what to think! Bela completed her latest round of swimming lessons and did awesome once again. Be sure to check the photos to see her awesome backfloat. Zoe also catches a sunbeam in this round of shots. Zoe seems to be getting a tooth, she is constantly drooling and she loves to chew on anything and everything. Her favorite thing right now is books. She loves to hold the book and he is very interested when papi is reading to Bela boo. Mama waited in line for 2 hours to get the family a wii. It totally rocks. Bela is a little afraid to play just yet but loves watching daddy. All of us have a mii, and bela likes to choose who is going bowling and cheer along. Daddy is slowly but surely moving up the ranks at guitar hero III. The goal, of course, being that he can compete with the younger brothers, who exclusively play on expert and get 90% most of the time. Papi is through all songs on easy and medium, and 32 of 42 songs on hard. Stuck now, he will probably build up some more skills on the opening expert levels and come back to finish up the hard level later. The leap between medium and hard is huge, but once you get the hang of it it's great fun. I did not know that you can get calluses from playing wii guitar. No wonder Andy and Ben rock. Favorite songs on medium are helicopter, my name is jonas, barracuda, black magic woman, and of course, one. Favorites on hard are Pride and Joy, Miss Murder, and bulls on parade. rokk on.

Snow. Oh.
Oh good goodness. Madison just set the annual snowfall record and it's only February.
For the past few weeks, all of our snow has gone into one ginourmus pile. This picture was taken the morning after we got dumped with 12" in one day. The pile is about 10' tall in this photo, but now is up to about 11 feet. Of course, there are tunnels and slides now, so it is quite awesome.
Bela is a natural mountain climber. She climbed the east ridge and made her way to the top all by herself. "I am king of the mountain!" she shouted. She was even using her garden hoe as an ice axe and pulling herself up. She wanted to make a fire on top of the mountain but daddy said no.
More snow please! We need to reach the top of the roof!
